Casting

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY - Christian Grey

Actor:  Alex Pettyfer

I have heard many names thrown around for the role of Christian Grey, including such as Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder, and Alexander Skarsgard. While all of these men are delicious to say the least, they are also almost ten years too old for this character. But they definitely do seem to have that dark-side about them.

Christian Grey is described to have boyish good looks and at 27 years of age that makes sense. Alex Pettyfer is only 23 he could definitely pass for 27. He has the charm, and good looks of Christian. Alex could easily look as though he has inner demons he fights.

Alex Pettyfer is very much the image I had conjured up in my mind's-eye while I was reading Fifty Shades.

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY - Anastasia Steele

Actress: Lucy Hale

Pretty Little Liar's young and beautiful Lucy Hale seems just right for the role of Ana. She has a determined look about her but also exudes sweet innocence.

Other names that have been mentioned for the character's portrayal are Emma Watson and Alexis Bledel. Though Emma Watson is the right age she just seems TOO innocent for the part. Plus I'm not too sure as what a role like this would do to her reputation.

Alexis Bledel on the other hand may be seen as more appropriate, but to me she is too old for the part.

THE HUNGER GAMES - President Snow

Donald Sutherland

Christopher Lee

VS

I like Donald Sutherland, but I thought that he was ALL WRONG for the role of President Snow.

Suzanne Collins described The President to be a small, thin man, with paper-white hair and thick lips that seem pulled across his face.  Donald Sutherland is not by any means a small, thin man.

My choice would have been Christopher Lee. Though, he may not be "small" he is closer in description - and we all know that he can play a bad guy!

The PERFECT character for the role would have been the animated character of Anton Ego, the food critic from Pixar's Ratatoulle. ;-)

BLUE BLOODS - Schuyler van Alen

I searched long and hard for who I thought would be a good actress for the role or Schuyler. I wanted someone to be in the right age range with the same look.

Alexa, who has graced many television shows with short roles. Some of which include Zoey 101 and The Walking Dead. She has also been in movies, such as Children of the Corn, Red State, and Detention of the Dead.

Though Alexa is not a well recognised name, I believe she is up and coming and would play Melissa de la Cruz's Schuyler well.

Actress:  Alexa Nikolas

BLUE BLOODS - Mimi Force

Actress:  Taylor Momsen

Mimi Force is a powerful fictional character, and finding someone to fit her personality as well as her appearance was a difficulty.  I looked at many actresses, but everyone who fit missed the crucial age criteria, and then it hit me - Taylor Momsen.

The gorgeous blond is well known for her role as Jenny Humphry in Gossip Girl. She fits Mimi's glamorous looks and fierce personality to the tee.

If I fail on any other casting it's not this one!

Jack Force - painfully handsome, athletic, calm and collective, but has a violent side. Sounds like Hannah Montana's Travis meets X-Men's Havok... Thus Lucas Till.

This handsome blonde, along with that deep voice of his, embodies the angel that Jack Force is.

Actor:  Lucas Till

BLUE BLOODS - Jack Force
THE LAST DRAGONLORD - Lindin Rathan

Actor:  Kellan Lutz

Linden is a tall powerful man, with broad shoulders and a strong frame making him a figure to behold in armor and an opponent to be reckoned with in a duel. He is loud spoken when heated but often quiet, loyal and proud. His demeanor stems mostly from Rathan, his Dragonsoul, leaving him with a somewhat rebellious streak that mixes in with his loyalty and pride giving him, at times, a far-too-courageous-for-his-own-good type of attitude.

Kellan Lutz, well known for his role as  Emmett Cullen in the Twilight Saga, has these features; he is strong, and handsome with a kind face.

THE LAST DRAGONLORD - Maurynna

Maurynna's character is a bit unrealistic as she is a ninteen year old ship captain. So if a movie is ever made from this book I really won't mind if they age up her character. On that note any girl even in her twenties isn't really ideal for that role - except Keira Knightly.

Keira is famous for her role in Pirates of the Caribbean. She can pull off the tough-chick look while at the same time being graceful. We also know that Keira does period films exquisitly.

I think she would do Maurynna's character justice and would probably even improve it.

Actress:  Keira Knightly

THE LAST DRAGONLORD -Sherine

Actress:  Amanda Seyfried

The beautiful blonde is used to getting what she wants and who she wants and nothing will stand in her way. And she wants Lindin Rathan.

When I read this book I pictured Megan Fox as Sherine, but Megan Fox isn't blonde. When I tried to google "Blonde Megan Fox" Amanda Seyfried popped up. And I thought "Of course!"

Amanda is young and beautiful, and if you saw her role as the departed Lily in Veronica Mars then you know that she would play the charater of Sherine to perfection.

A LITTLE PRINCESS - Sara Crew

Actress:  Mackenzie Foy

Best known for her role as the half human half vampire child of Edward and Bella Cullen in the Twilight Saga Mackenzie really is a little princess.

She is very dignified and graceful, and I can easily picture her portraying the riches-to-rags-to-riches Sara Crew.

She has a youthful enough face that can easily be made to look younger as the young Sara joins the boarding school and her subsequent years that follow.
